Matsushima coast, six years ago

１、松島(Matsushima)　２、松島の紅葉(Autumn)　３、松島にボリビアのようなバナナが元気に生えていました。(A banana tree in Matsushima)４、全壊と指定された自宅の前でわかめ漁の準備をしてる、漁業組合長さん。カキもやってる　と聞いて安心しました。松島は小さな島々のおかげで被害が比較的少なくて済んだそうです。( A fisher man in Matsushima. His house is broken, but he is still working on the sea.)５、石巻のつぎはぎだらけの繁華街( Ishinomaki downtown)　６、７、８、石巻　海岸端( To the beach in Ishinomaki)　９、気仙沼(Kesennuma)
１０　気仙沼港のかつての桟橋　沖の方で見つけて　そこまで運んでこられた　とのこと(Kesennuma Port)　１１、気仙沼港のイカ釣り船、出航まじか(let´s go to fishing Calamari)　１２、気仙沼　老舗らしいお茶屋さん。残念ながら中はからでした。(an old tea store in  Kesennuma. Nobody is inside.)

石巻と松島を訪れた日が快晴だったのに比べて　気仙沼の方は曇りだったので暗い写真ですが、かえって気仙沼の方が　新しい魚市場もあり　街全体活気がよみがえっているように見えました。３日間の東北　終始　厚い人情に触れるいい旅でした。 Tweet

In this short post, let me share a video on the welcome ceremony held back in 2005 on my arrival to Sendai. I am posting this video as a sample of the event organized by the Japanese Embassy in Bolivia, held last Oct 28th 2011 in La Paz, which brought a lot of memories to all those who have had the chance to visit that beautiful land.
